It takes a Community and plenty of Volunteers:
Volunteering is a great way to contribute to DSST and the GLBT community, while gaining experience, and fostering personal growth.
Fundraising Committee:
We need your help to make DSST a stronger, more financially stable team. Here are three important things we know about fundraising:
-
People give when they are asked, and rarely give when they are not. Even when people are asked, they don't always give. So, we need to ask for more gifts than the number we actually need to bring in, and we need to be comfortable with people saying "No."
-
Donors are not ATMs. We need to thank them and keep them posted on what our organization is doing with their money if we want them to give more than once.
-
You can't raise all the money for our team by yourself. If you spend some time building a team of people to help you, raising money for DSST will be much easier.
If you're interested in helping us raise money, please contact our Fundraiser at fundraising@dsst.org.
